It seems like an easy task, however commitment to hitting your short term goals is key to achieving your long term aims. An easy and effective way to achieve your long term goals is hitting your short term objectives which you can track weekly in a journal. It doesnt have to be complex. All you need is a calendar/journal booklet which is pretty inexpensive to buy. Set down you overall long-terms aimsfor example, if you want to be a successful freelance writer start hitting attainable and important short term goals like building your portfolioaim for an article a week on a specific subject. You can also make other short term goals such as connecting with at least 5 professionals in your field. Another goal is to perhaps take an online writing course or learn to market yourself better through social media. Ultimately, keeping track of these short term goals in a journal on a weekly basis is imperative to building a strong foundation for long term success. Its all about babysteps! Step-by-step, week-by-week you will slowly see amazing progress! Be sure to be truthful in your journal. If you havent achieved a certain goal within a set deadline think about why you didnt achieve it. Write down the plausible reasons to why it wasnt done.
